Rumour and speculation is on a big journey in the SW. Best to wait and see what actually develops as the final outcome maybe way off what popular speculation suggests.

I don’t know and it’s not right to speculate but from previous posts it appears that JD are thinking big ........

i think they dont understand that some of us are loyal to the dealers as much as the brand

For sure, however with 150 hp tractors costing 130k+ they might not need many dealers to keep up with the low demand. Reminds me of house prices pre credit crunch.

Its a global strategy.... The UK is tiny in terms of turnover for them.

I can see the market shrinking the way we are going at the moment.

Well I guess if there are only a half dozen big dealers they could say to JD well stuff you I'll sell someone else's tractors, a big swathe could disappear overnight.
These big companies come and go, ebb and flow. I don't hold with the opinion that the UK market doesn't matter to JD, they know any company that takes customers for granted will ultimately fail.
They have a good solid user base in the UK and are looking to keep it, albeit through total control.

Heard from a manufacturer rep today ,that sharmans have been given notice on their jd franchise ,
Dont know any more

Any news on who has got it or has it been split
