Watch JD tractor figures fall.

Who ever on the Board of JD think that dumping excellent dealers is a good idea, needs to be removed from the Board.

There is more loyalty to the small dealer in the UK, than to any brand . They must see that in our area where a once dominate green brand has lost 100 plus tractor sales in the last 3 years.

I don’t think they care tbh. I believe they are looking for large volumes of sales and don’t really need the uk to reach the targets. Hence less uk dealers, Langar staff. Who knows they may not have a uk base in the future.

The issues I am told are retaining quality staff

Not sure the franchise is the money spinner it once was

They control how much money you make by turning the discount dial up and down depending on how well your doing
I think Sharmans, (Barclays) are wealthy and shrewd enough to counteract any chance of a take over....

What I meant was one of the top 4 manufactures not another dealer, Scott probably makes more from the used than the NEW anyway.

Quite a shock them sacking sharmans but from vibrations I’d heard the last couple of months meant there would be more casualties, they seem to be moving towards the claas key 10 dealer template that I’ve heard my claas rep speak about , there’s a couple of smaller jd dealers north of the border that in my opinion should be a bit concerned if companies the size of sharmans are getting sacked , I find the sales targets in the statement a bit unrealistic

I’d be suprised if any Deere dealership sold 30 new combines a year or 15 foragers.ive no idear how many combines are sold in uk each year but if there are ten jd dealers selling 30 a piece that’s 300 and that’s excluding claas, new Holland and case and I’d be suprised if there are 300 combines sold new in uk each year.
Nick...
15 foragers would be a struggle, your never going to find that much stupid in one area.
