Would suggest there's more to this than meets the eye. How come someone else knew last week and yet the dealer principle allegedly didn't this can happen but not usually as spectacularly as this. Also usually a manufacturer gives notice not closes a wholegood sales account with immediate effect unless something is going on in the background. Because this sort of thing isn't in the manufacturers favour in the short term and is difficult to manage from a PR point of view if there isn't a fall back plan in place in the background in which case something has been brewing for abit

🤔 35miles.... just on the limits of how far I’d go to stay green.... and it would certainly put them at a far higher chance on loosing out on a sale vs the dealers that are within 10-14 miles. Service would need to be excellent with sensible call out rates.
Going from 5 miles to 21, annoying!
Depend which side of nairn it’s on as that can add 20 minutes in traffic alone. If they don’t have enough mechanics they will struggle servicing fochabers to wick.
Could be half hour each way on a trip, £60 for travel alone! Better be good at their job.

Swap your combine for a yellow 1 and you will only have to travel 4 miles to the dealer, your driver would love it 😂.

Lots of speculation about the SW Penninsula developments and views therein. Truth is a very small number of people know the “real” facts. There is going to be much more of this in the coming months and years so this is just the tip of the iceberg but one thing is for sure, no one is immune from change. One fact I recall from a marketing degree years ago was “when everything is going well in business, something somewhere is starting to go wrong”. The problem is this is normally out of your control unless you employ a “disaster policy” namely “what’s my plan if an external force changes my direction”? I think Richard Branson dubbed this “tying the downside up”!! Good advice!

I apologise you were indeed correct. It was a bit silly of A G Prowse to post on facebook that they are still Krone dealers then a few days later say they've lost it.

Not really.
I think that his post set the record straight from his point of view and forced someone else to 'play their hand'.
I thought at the time that to omit any reference to the future was very telling.
