I have been told Sharman’s was told to dump jcb and they said no after last time they dumped it only for jd to stop making handlers. The family already have Scotland sowed up with jd but I suppose when ripon bought out Rbm it was inevitable that they would look at streamlining the rest of the dealers

The family in Scotland are fighting against each other pinching customers from each other’s areas.

Could make any shakedown up here interesting.

Will superdeaershiips have the financial might to take high value trade ins better than a mom and pop operation that can’t take that kind of financial risk?

I couldn't see JD standing by while sharmans sold JCB when JD have the Kramer. There are few Kramers in the area all been sold by Farols. If the rumours are true I feel sorry for the staff.

Same family different companies mainly north of the forth bridge. Corthwaites, Sheriffs etc in Scotland too.

Wonder what my dealer will do then as sells massive amounts of Deere and jcbs

Smart Ag Services? Colin sells lots of JCB tractors & forklifts as well as JD tractors. There's room on his forecourt for both, so why rock the boat by kicking out JCB altogether just so JD can flog Kramers?? There's no one else to sell JCB around here other than Oakes Bros who are to the west of Smart's area & Holt have always been told to back away from agricultural sales and focus on JCB's industrial side.

If a dealer has good service and happy customers and they get dropped and take on another francise alot of the customers will follow them which is good to giv jd the middle finger cause of there arrogance. Be nice to see smaller players bein took on by these dealers and them doin well and stealin deals from jd cause there products are so overpriced its ridiculous and the products are far from perfect that they dont justify the premium money. Lets hope the smaller players will benefit from this. I always had a soft spot for underdogs lol

The only John Deere we have here is a lawn mower....and we have 5 tractor,2handlers and a UTV.....and a JD dealer 5 miles from us.

Ultimately their engineering is nothing outstanding with engineered in issues,
Weve not had a single piece of Deere Equ on this farm in my life nor my previous 4 generations before me spanning over 130years
but that doesnt mean i dislike them far from it, just got on well enough with other brands thats it really.
