All dealers get terms from whom ever manufacture. Big difference to a business stake.

It's not the terms its the amount of the credit lines given and the time of interest free

The amount of credit with only a small stake at risk by the business owners.

Dealers are expected to carry stock of at least 1/3 of targeted tractor sales at all times given that each dealer is now targeted to t/o millions then the stocking held is millions.

JD are the only manufacturer to own their own bank and I effect fund their own infantry.

All other manufacturers use third party funders to provide stocking terms.

Not this time, the Fendt Valtra comment was somebody guessing I'd say.
Was speaking to my rep the other day and he doesnt know, or if he does, he should be up for an Oscar!! :D :D

As I said way back on here, HRN told JD enough, after some of their demands. That came from the boss.
Reading between the lines, it seemed like a game of brinksmanship was going on with both sides reckoning on the other backing off, which didn't happen.
When you watch Millienial farmer and similar videos on youtube, and see the JD scale over there, and other bits of the world, I don't suppose a few less tractors in North Scotland really matters to them.
Was always going to be a Mexican stand off.
Stuart Barclay won't or wouldn't back down, not a chance
And John deere can't be seen to back down to a " wee dealer in North East Scotland"

Old news now and no surprise.
@fermerboy told us over 2 months ago that JD basically told them there was no farming of any consequence north of Perth. Mostly just heather and trees. At the same time they were taking Perth area from them after 35 years to give to Netherton.

if someone tells you they are taking the worthwhile bit from you and you can keep the bit with Fudge All worth bothering about then they shouldn’t be surprised to be told to Fudge Off ;)
