How about a merger, Smallridge, Mason, Kings, will need a big sign, but has a good ring about it.So, place your bets on the the CFM area going to Smallridge Bros or Masons Kings ?

Would need a big sticker on the bonnet....How about a merger, Smallridge, Mason, Kings, will need a big sign, but has a good ring about it.

is that a pink elephant? ?According to the dealer turnover JD were alleged to require if CFM, Masons and Smallridges all merges together it still wouldn’t be anywhere near enough.
I too have heard the rumours about the elephant.
As a complete outsider, I bought a second hand feeder from mason kings a couple of years back and found them excellent to deal with, initially spoke to a Stuart Vanstone who was most helpful but wasn’t available on the day I went to see it so did the deal with a peter endacott. I couldn’t help but think that if they were more local to me they’d be seeing a lot more of my buisness.money is on masons more forward thinking company.

Sorry I'm afew days behind on this thread but from what I've heard CFM will be selling a different greenAll very interesting when you are a farmer in Cornwall running all JD. I deal with Smallridges, Masons Kings and CFM. I find all of them excellent for service although buying new kit from one has proved difficult ...... but that’s a customer/rep relationship thing ?
Had my CFM rep here this week dropping in some parts and he was very tight lipped and gave nothing away. But the word on the street is that changes will be seen in October.
With JD alleged policy of wanting high turnover dealers there was no way that a relatively small area like Devon and Cornwall was ever going to continue with 3 dealers. It’s been interesting the number of tractors Masons have been putting into Cornwall, not brand new but very high quality low houred machines.
I feel sure CFM will continue, they have good customer relationships and a spirited dealer principle ?
What colour wheels?Sorry I'm afew days behind on this thread but from what I've heard CFM will be selling a different green
What colour wheels?
Definitely not red, silvery/grey.What colour wheels?
Who’s that? PJDefinitely not red, silvery/grey.
Feel sorry for the dealer who had only taken them on recently and built new workshops, think he may be left out in the cold, though I hope not , because we need a variety of dealers.
Yes.Who’s that? PJ
Unbelievable, hadn't heard anything, close mates with Kev, so know that came out of the blue.Find it a shame that have been hearing from staff, salesmen, and the general public for days / weeks now that CFM have lost the Deere dealership....and not a word from the dealer to account holders / customers yet, or public announcement.... No one really knows whats going on, and they havent really made any effort to help clear it up! Surely better to be honest than hear third hand stories / rumours that always end up changing / getting modified as they travel!
Shame to hear about TFM, although not a case man have used them for various gear over the years and always hear great things. Nice to see a post on facebook also!
Interesting to see what happens, a shame for us though as mainly green, so loosing parts at truro would be a pain during harvest etc.

Always thought he bought them in through another dealer.Yes.
I disagree, they have said from the beginning of this mess created by John deere NOT cfm that an announcement will be coming asap (as soon as they are able to publish all the facts). Theres no point in them saying we've lost the john deere franchise but are in the process of signing a contract with case (for example) only for the deal to fall through at the last minute and then for cfm to have to make another announcement causing yet more confusion etc
He was given main dealer status 12/18 months ago for west Cornwall, with IDM cover the rest of Cornwall, Obviously with IDM finishing that has left an Opening for a Deutz dealership but CFm has a dealership at Penzance as well as Truro so quite established in west Cornwall.Always thought he bought them in through another dealer.
Where’s the next closest Deutz dealer?
