Just bought a second hand starfire 3000 with 2600 screen with autotrac activation. Didnt get a manual with it so wandering if I can down load one anywhere? Have figured out some of it but can seem to find the way to have each run you do to be coloured in so you know what you've done and what you havnt? Probably something simple I'm missing. Tia

I think if you go to the implement set up page, in the middle is the coverage drop down box, select when you want it to start your coverage ie linkage control, pto, spool , auto trac button few other options.

There's a bit in a random place you need to put an operation or a job into to get it to colour in . It catches me out every time I change machine on a 2630 but I only do it once a year so on struggling to remember what it is just now I'll try to have a look today if I get chance

Right,

So once you have set up Tractor dimensions, an Implement & width , a Farm and a Field and created a New Track......

What Tractor have you fitted this to? i.e. how do you want to be triggering the Coverage toggle? As in the pic above you have a choice between triggering it from a linkage movement input direct from the tractor (if on a modern JD the GPS harness would pick that signal up from the tractors canbus, (adapters for other makes are available - called bridges). The drop down box gives you options for triggering the coverage.

Other trigger options are a manual switch connected to the GPS harness, or a microswitch added to the tractor lift arms, or a signal from an implement box - anything that that basically tells the GPS when you are in work. It can be switched to +12v or switched to 0v. You can also toggle the coverage from the screen with that soft key (either way, the pale red dot will turn red, and the tractor on the screen will start colouring. You could make up small sub harnesses to plug in depending on the implement you are using. EG a trailed mower put a switch on the lift cylinder.

I personally have a manual toggle switch on the console, and also a harness connected to tractor for linkage input (JD 30 series) since I often use a fert spinner than doesn't have a means to activate the coverage switch.

Does that help ?
