John Deere TLS rear support bearing

My 6620 TLS has always vibrated at bit a certain speeds on the road (circa 20kph) not badly but enough so that I thought I better check the UJs and shafts under the tractor. There is movement on the shaft but it isn't in the UJs I think its in the "self aligning bushing" and bearing where there are 2 grease nipples fitted. If you take the weight of the front of the tractor you can move the axle ever so slightly back and forth. I have received advice to replace bush and bearing and some capscrews in there from someone familiar with these tractors. Anybody else come across this? Presumably needs sorting before it gets any worse? Anything else we need to look at when we are in there? I'll tag the usual suspects @Phil P @Timbo @Tractortech

I've never ever had to replace anything in the torque tube bearing. They are no bother, I can't see that inducing any vibration .. Any vibration is usually tyre related. Have you checked the bushes in the panhard rod?? They get worn on a '20' tractor but only make a knocking noise. Is the foam bush on the MFWD output shaft intact and the universal joints ok??
How many hours has it done, what tyres is it on and what sort of tyre wear??

Bushes in panhard done 1000 hrs ago. Nearly new front and rear bkt tyres. Vibration is something I could easily live with it’s just I was worried that it was a sign of wear somewhere or something that needed attention. I’m sure the movement here isn’t normal, there’s none on my 6920.

Our 6115r and 6830 both have similar vibration on the road at those sort of speeds, both have bkts on the front.

Bearing replaced on a 7530 last week, 12000 hours, easy enough job. TLS to the top, support, relieve the pressure, then unbolt the drive shaft, bolts the from the axle and pivot point, remove and sit it on the bench and dismantle.

Carried out as described above by someone with JD experience. Not big wear but enough to be noisy and to be at a point where it will only get worse. Glad it was done.
