John Deere WIFI dongle?

Has anyone found a compatible WIFI dongle for wireless data transfer? I got a price from JD a while back and it was silly money just for a dongle when you can get universal ones for under £20!

That’s what I do for my 4640 screen but the problem is my R series isn’t WiFi capable so need a usb dongle to connect to phone. Jd wanted a few hundred pounds just for a dongle!
I’ve tried a couple of different dongles that I have knocking about but the 4600 display doesn’t recognise them.

What lead do dealers use to connect their laptops? Actually, don't search Service cables - they are thousands! What did the dealer quote you for their dongle?

Won’t connect via phone cable it just chargers it. It’s one of these I need -

It was a while ago when they quoted me but wasn’t much change out of £500 if Iremember right! I’ll keep backing it up with a memory stick for that

The latter R series have built in WiFi adapter or jd link but I won’t be swapping mine any time soon

Try kuhn for one. I got a free one a few months after buying my spreader.

It sends spreader settings to control box in tractor via the app on my phone. Its a waste of time in my opinion.

I have a KV one but tractor won’t recognise it so I doubt the Kuhn will be any different way unfortunately. Like most things with jd they probably have you by the balls and only there’s will work

No. No green here apart from combine same shade as yours.

Guys I have 6145R year 2017 and I dont have WiFi option on the screen.
How can I know if I have MTG ?
It says JDLink Ready but I dont see it connect anywhere.

what’s the OS behind JD ? i’m guessing Linux ? if so try a linux compatible dongle

Then I dont need WiFi ? What do we need WiFi for on them ?
