Horsch has partnered with Johnsons of Cheadle to provide its full range of cultivators, drills and sprayers to customers in Staffordshire. Johnsons has two branches, one at Cheadle and one at Eccleshall, and, as a Case IH main dealer, has huge experience supporting large arable farms through to smaller dairy farms.
“We like the strength, reliability and productivity that is associated with the Horsch brand and speaking with our customers, they are keen to have the brand too,” explains Les Bailey, Sales Manager at Johnsons. “Horsch has broad range of high-quality kit from 3m to 12m. That allows us to provide exactly the right machines to customers.”
The two branches comprise a staff 17 with five service engineers and serve distinctly different customer groups. The Cheadle branch covers a predominately dairy area and Les believes the 3m version of the Express power harrow range and the smaller models of the Maestro maize drill range will prove popular among local farmers.
Further south, the Eccleshall branch serves a large arable customer base. “We already supply and support flagship Case IH Axial-Flow combines and high horsepower tractors to big arable operations in this area. The larger trailed and self-propelled Leeb sprayers will be a great addition to the machines we can offer, as well as the high capacity cultivators and drills that Horsch produce,” adds Mr Bailey.
“The high level of expertise, customer service and support that Johnsons of Cheadle provide is well-known in the region. I’m delighted that we are working with them and supporting farmers across Staffordshire,” said Stephen Burcham, general manager for Horsch UK.
