Got a crippled up lamb atm. A week old. One of triplets (reared as double) , so suspect slight lack of colostrum although he was tubed.
Had Trymox and anti-inflamatory - repeated as per instructions. Still isn't right, so thinking that the inevitable will have to be done.

Sunshine plays a big role in my experience. If the Sun is shining hardly any joint ill. Probably the vitamin D produced helps the immune system. If brought inside to lamb that will not help and could make ewes deficient

Most of the D3 vitamin supplements come from lanolin

2ml Penstrep cures just about anything. Maybe if inside you can fiddle about giving them it over 3 days

imported via vet from Australia B12 injection called Troy.1ml for lambs every two months.1ml for ewes every 4 months. Cost effective too and with us excellent health especially ewes this lambing.

You can import it direct from Australia if your vet gets a 'Special Import Licence', which is a simple application with dropdowns from this site:

https://www.vmd.defra.gov.uk/sis

There will likely be suppliers that have already imported it too, but he will still need to make that application iirc.

There is another similar product available in NZ I understand, called Prolaject. It only supplies B12 for 4-6 weeks, but at less than a penny a dose.
