it was jist how things fell when tff first started, at the tine i didn’t really know much about any of our moderation team or their farms, we simply asked for volunteers it was a leap of faith for all involved but worked out ok

It certainly did. The balance has been just about right imo, which is what makes this forum so successful.👍

Thank you @JP1 for the (no doubt ridiculous amount of) time you have spent moderating the degenerates on here. You’ve always (well, usually) got it about right imo, which is often a difficult judgement to make I suspect.

Thanks to all all the other mods that make this place what it is too, especially those that haven’t thrown in the towel and put their feet up to watch the madhouse from the lunatic’s side.🤐

How can I help and would I have access to Bald Rick's points? :p:sneaky:

You can’t help Bald Rick, he is utterly beyond redemption.

Bald Rick is currently in police custody on a charge of instigating moral outrage and that of gross offending of public decency: his counsel has applied for bail and he has been remanded until such time as I might agree to shell out a tenner to let him loose.

So let lessons be learned, if you are going to market a remake of ‘Animal Farm 2’ which may well be a sell out in Caernarfon and have them queueing round the block in Menai Bridge; then it might be better filmed at Pinewood Studios rather than at some secret location in Llangefni under the covert surveillance of the Obscene Publications Squad and the RSPCA.

Isn't there a conspiracy theory? I mean, he can't just be retiring, can he? What did he do wrong? Why was he sacked? Surely, it can't be true?

(I'm kidding!).

But, seriously, this is indeed the best forum, run the way a forum should be run. The mods actually appear human and approachable. I am on others where stuff gets edited and censored, where they are run by obvious cliches and pressure groups. I've seen skilfully orchestrated hate campaiogns. I've resigned from more than a few. Here it is free speech (to an extent) and (nearly all) contributions are welcomed which of course is what democrasy is all about. What an enormous and valuable font of knowledge, and not just farming. Thanks for all the hard work, JP1.

Well done @JP1 for recognising that you had too much to keep up with, can't be easy to give this up.

Better to do fewer things well than be spread too thinly and let everything fall down. Full time job, farming in spare time and a medium distance relationship is a lot to keep up with anyway.

From having some Mod experience elsewhere, I find these things usually pan out OK. The odd individual can start off in a fit of over zealous enthusiasm, but soons reigns it back.... or buggers off PDQ.
