Js130 radio- no power

Tried to fit a radio into our old js130 today. Radio slot was blanked off with a bit of metal however speakers were there and remains of aerial.

There seems to be no power coming to plug though. There is power to interior light and wiper which i think is on the same loom. Can't find any fuses gone.

Anyone got any ideas?

They had this problem with the one I drive abit, never did find out what was up with it. There’s now a wire from the radio into the battery box and you croc clip onto 1 of the batteries ?

It was behind the seat on top of the heater box under all the plastics in the one I was on !.
Was planning on having a look in there this morning. Can't remember if i kept the 24 - 12 transformer of the old digger.
A new wire might be the easiest option.

Well i had a good look at the wiring behind seat and fuse box. No obvious problems so gave up. Then when i started the digger it now will not rev up and screen says there is an electrical problem.

Only thing i did wrong was accidentally short the cigarette lighter and blew the fuse for it when checking it had power.

Update- still no radio power however i have sorted the other fault.

Some how the throttle motor had pulled the linkage too far in and it had got stuck. This was causing electrical fault to show when motor couldn't move throttle linkage. All sorted now.

Might be simpler to fit a new one to the cigarette lighter wires, they’re only about £10-15
If it has a stepper motor for the throttle it must be a 90’s machine, you’re lucky it’s still working

@Zetor was the stepper motor known to be troublesome? Is it the motor that gives bother or the motor controller?

For the radio I am planning on taking power off the lighter. Just need to get a new 24-12v converter.

Thanks

Yeah they can be, a lot have been converted to cable I water ingress causes trouble think I made a cover out of an old oil drum as they’re pretty exposed next to the pump.
A stiff throttle cable also overloads them
