Judges being too lenient on rural criminals.

In our area the police put in a lot of resources to catch rural criminals Eg flytippers, small tool thieves, harecoursers, joyriders etc etc.
But the judicial system hands out such pathetic punishments to deter the above from doing the same crimes again :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Is the above the same across the Uk.

The reason being, jails are full, community service less of it because of virus, can't take assets because money been spent on drugs and booze that don't leave much, when you have a government who have never stopped foreign criminals from entering this country there is no hope for the honest hard working English people.....

The people you need to contact are The Sentencing Council. Here is a quote from their web page at https://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/consultations/ . If more people spoke up, maybe things would change.

Consultations
The Sentencing Council wants to hear your views, whether you are an interested member of the public, a professional in the criminal justice field, an academic or someone with experience of the criminal justice system.

Your average judge is paid in excess of 100K and probably lives in a gated mansion in a very nice area. They will never experience what it is to be a victim of a crime directly and have no concept of it so the idea they are going to bring down the full force of the law on people is false.

The prison service is busting at the seams and if it isn't at capacity I would be surprised. They have no intention of committing people to prison in droves because it would mean letting other inmates out to accommodate them.

Some pikey hare coursers were disturbed by a farmer recently (Wilts), they held a loaded centre fire rifle to his head and threatened to shoot him by all accounts. The pikeys were from Glos, camp was raided and they were arrested and 2 centrefire rifles (unlicensed) were recovered. Be interesting to find out if they go down or not, if they dont then there is something seriously wrong. Just shows you what scum we have to deal with on an almost nightly basis and day come to think of it. It's never ending and not getting any better

Seems to be the same in the cities.
I was watching Police Interceptors on YouTube last night. I think they should rename it Catch and Release.:banghead:
Police have put a lit of effort into my recent burglaries . The pickup was recovered and the lads arrested 3 days later .they still had the pickup keys in pocket . The police have since recovered the vehicle they used to get to my place on the night to pinch the pickup. They have been watching the movements of the lad arrested ,who was released with a curfew on him till the court case , and eventually he went to where the car was hidden and they pounced . Inside the car were the tools that were in my pickup so they have now been returned to me . The quad bike has never been found but top marks to the police for the way they have handled the pickup theft but when they were here 2 days ago returning my tools they said " we have done all the work and it's cost a lot of man hrs but they know the courts will let them down"

Sister and brother in law both work for the police, they said the sentencing guidelines are to keep young people out of jail as once they are in the system they will be in it for the rest of their life... but letting them off only encourages them to keep committing crime, so thats not going to work. Only thing that is going to work in my view is on a second offence to start to chop the most appropriate body part off that fits the crime. Never going to happen, but can’t see how the situation is going to get better.

We have the same issue. The judicial system must get tougher on criminals otherwise whats to deter them from continuing their actions?
