June Reseed.

Always reseed in the autumn but last year weather made it impossible. I’m really tightly stocked on the milking platform so can’t balls things up. If I sprayed off a field tomorrow,started grazing 4 days later,finished grazing after another 4 days,disc and sow seed would I have quick establishment? Realistically,when could I expect to graze again? If we get a hot and dry June,is there enough moisture in the ground? Is spraying and discing a good way to reseed? Always ploughed.

I’ve tried it in a few with cheap Italian to try and build stocks up again. I’m not sure it works particularly well without some spray. A bit that was sprayed off had grown like stink, can’t say the same for the I sprayed area…….Just not going how I’d hoped. Might show more in second cut provided it lives that long.

No. I'd avoid discing with stones.

I'd prefer to DD if there are stones, and let them stay where they are.
We have some very stoney fields and I wouldn't dare plough them, unless the wife wanted to build a rockery.

Graze, harrow hard (till you see some brown) broadcast seed, roll. Then Roll every week for a month

Surplus grass, warm soil, fast turn round.

Go for it.
6 weeks could be grazing it if you get the right weather, not too many years we have a drought in June.
Buttercups not a sign of acidic soil, might need plenty of lime.
