Very sad really. If KS and Co weren`t so busy with issues of this nature and were a half decent party they could be making Boris and his clown troup look VERY stupid just now....
I agree, we need an opposition party that is on the ball to make the government up their game, the poor quality of the present opposition allows the government to coast and does not put them on the spot.

. Another thing to consider is that a lot of people up here use swearing like punctuation, a wee bit like some Australians.
Remember few year ago a local mechanic came up one Sunday to see the auld man and had brought his new to the area neighbour with him, dad was blethering away to the guy and asked how he liked New Cumnock.
His reply made me laugh, "I've noticed that if they don't greet you with yi awrite ya auld bas***d they don't like yi" :D .

The big problem with "it's only banter" is what is one persons fun is another persons deeply offensive bullying. We had an apprentice who complained about very serious bullying, however his friends thought it was only light hearted banter.

But Sadly, it is far easier to be offended by the slightest things in the modern world due to over protective parents and alleged rights - that it is soo bloody difficult to know what is or more importantly, is not going to offend / upset / get you taken to court.

People need to grow up and stop looking for things that they can twist at every opportunity and cry hurt. Fact is, Life is hard, and many cannot accept that and choose to play the wounded soldier. You cannot sugar coat Life, and that is the real crux of the matter.
People are gullably enfatuated with all social media with filters hiding blemishes etc / the likes of Made in Chelsea / Love Island et al and worryingly, believe that all that shite is the real world. Only to then find out the hard way, that what they invisage is the real world, is purely Eutopian Dreams.

Can’t see why your so set off buying from him and then post about it? After the second phone call I’d have said balls to him and it. Never mind pestering him for the deal if you seem desperate they’re always going to take the pee

The thing I find that gets Scotsmen going is being reminded they like to wear skirts. I am with them on that, I mean, traditionally it’s more like a dress !!
The romantic rehabilitation of the kilt reached its apotheosis with King George IV’s carefully stage-managed state visit to Edinburgh in 1822, during which he disported himself in full Highland dress. This “publicity stunt” promoted the kilt as fashionable wear among the Scottish nobility and, in so doing, helped establish the kilt as the national dress of Scotland.

George IV - English.

People need to grow up - or stop with the casual racism and then try and dress it up as banter ?

What is happening to this world, or its people? About 20 months ago I bought a front linkage and PTO kit from Symon Jacobsen of Scotland. The kit got delivered, all perfect, and I paid his invoice in full by the stated date..And stupidly as It has turned out have recommended him to others looking for front linkage kits.
A local friend/ farmer, wants a kit for one of his tractors, so have sent an enquiry , by text message, phoned the office, and left all the details on his What's app messages over the last three weeks or so
I could see that he had read the what's app messages, as the ticks turned blue.
This morning, What's app showed he was online, so I tried to voice call him, he duly rejected the call. Then he did a video call, I answered, the connection wasn't good, but I could see him, and he said " It's that f******g Welshman"
I better not put my reply message on here! Suffice to say he can stuff his linkage where the sun don't shine..
Afternoon John432,

Not wanting to get involved in a slanging match but would like to let you know a bit more about Symon and his family.
Just as our harvest was about to kick off I personally ended up being housebound with back/disc/nerve problem which led to being hospitalised needing an Mri scan. Scan was good but was left unable to work due to being on crutches.
I was rescued by two of my neighbours who came in with combines/tractors & trailers to cut our Spring Barley. One of those neighbours was Symon who came and cut 100ac of Barley with his son Jake who drove the tractor/trailer in the field and his Amazing wife Jo who did the road work to get the crop in the shed.
I am looking at the timings and I am pretty sure that the work he did for myself might coincide with your "experience" with him so you can proportion some of the blame on to me for probably overloading a couple of mates who were probably already busy enough but were solid enough to step up to the plate.

That sounds like a top family, I would like to think I would do the same to help someone out I got neighbours who helped me in a similar situation, the majority of my winter corn that was planted one year by them while I spent a week in hospital with blood poisoning.

There are a couple of things here ,maybe you omitted some kind of hiccup or tension ye had over some part of your transaction, secondly we have a tractor breaker over here who is extremely short on the phone and very ignorant but there are a core of people including myself that don't pass any remarks on that rough exterior because he is a decent skin ,I often would say there's that gobshite ringing again it's just a few words ,he didn't take your character he could have been under a machine getting hardship and the phone had his head wrecked
