Around £1400+VAT for a Reach RS2 receiver. As an all in one, ready out of the box, with bang up to date modern phone/web based setup app, can’t see anything that gives remotely better bang for the buck currently.
I just got a NH system running (372 with rover radio) on RTK from our dealer network (AGRICAR). Could i replace the dealer signal with this?

No reason why not. Either get another (insert brand name) UHF radio for the base to match what’s on the tractor.

Or if you’ve got a cellular radio on the tractor you could stream corrections via NTRIP from the base. It’s got a 3.5G radio modem / SIM slot built in.

I’ve told Emlid there’s a ready market in Ag (and Survey for that matter) if they build a compatible standalone LoRa radio to match the LoRa radio built into the receiver. This would be an external radio you could hook up to your existing RTK receiver, much as you can do now with (quite expensive) UHF radios).

Range seems decent enough on LoRa from all reports. Good enough for a portable base in any event.

So you buy this: https://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/...SH-OEi0S8OtVhTmpEjP2FAypjN4qUmWBoCCfUQAvD_BwE

And it will beam out the rtk correction signal over the internet from you house/office, which your tractor with an ntrip sim will then download via its sim card?

If your tractor doesn't have an ntrip sim you either have to add a modem to the tractor, or configure the Reach RS2 and the tractor with a radio to transmit the signal.

Would you generally still need to pay the tractor manufacturer or the tractor receiver manufacturer for an unlock code for the tractor mounted system to accept the rtk signal?

Yes you can use the RS2 in “base mode” as a portable base that will send out RTK corrections on either its serial port, Bluetooth, WiFi, LoRA radio or cellular radio/SIM. You have 5 interfaces built in to choose from. That’s better than a lot of “pro” receivers from the likes of Frimble, Flopcon, etc that cost 4 times as much.

In “rover mode” it’s exactly the same, but you can receive corrections on those interfaces.

If you already have your tractor or whatever with an enabled/licensed/unlocked RTK receiver capability then it is very straightforward to send it corrections from an RS2 base using RTCM 3 based corrections:

In a nutshell...

If using NTRIP then I would simply setup a free RTK2go account and setup the RS2 to stream its corrections using the SIM card/cellular to RTK2go and the point the tractor receiver NTRiP setup to your mountpoint on RTK2go. Or download SNiP and setup your own private caster.

If wanting to connect using the UHF radio on your existing tractors, etc. Then buy another matching external radio for the RS2 base and just connect it up using a simple serial cable.

Job done.

Though for example with our Case AfS700 system it would need an RTK unlock code from Case, it only being unlocked to omnistar at the moment?

Yep unlock it to (centimetre) RTK. Probably around £2K or so from Omnistar at a guess from the dealer.

Then you need to decide how your going to feed it correction (radio or NTRIP), depending on your circumstances and use.

Would it be possible to put a 2nd rs2 in the tractor and push out nmea to the oem receiver? No unlock above egnos needed and investment can stay in your hands.

There are also some deals to be had on second hand gear now. I got a receiver and radio on rtk for half new cost to go on a steer ready tractor.

Yes...as long as your screen / receiver is happy with NMEA position input. Also it will be less ‘integrated’ as you’ll need a phone/tablet/laptop for any general reconfiguration or setting updates etc of the RS2. The native UI (User Interface) of the RS2 being ReachView which is a basically a web interface that you connect to over its WiFI connection.

All the usual Trimble caveats apply - especially if they only expect to see an external receiver that speaks TSIP for (corrected) position input.

I hope all the second hand deals aren't the ones that seem to keep disappearing off the tops of tractors in the south and east

Mind its a dear job this Auto Steering... it was cheaper 18months ago than it is now
Anyhow if all tractors came Autoguide Ready from the Factory it would save us all a lot later on.
Under £2k after discount to add onto a current New Massey & you get that speedsteer option if its any use of course.
GFX-750 + NAV900 on Rangepoint RTX & i do all drilling & land cultivation's with this all done under £6k & £295 for 2nd year sub
Its way over £7k for similar system now. why is that?

Why didn’t you ask someone local? Aren’t you in the Cambs fens near Ely?

A certain person very local was sorting something out for me, but he left the local place to go to bigger things. I think you may know this person.
Happy for you to suggest who else it may be ;)

None available in the UK at the moment though...

They will be cranking up the production lines in downtonwn Guandong Province ;)

I see the older Reach RS+ models are being knocked at £1300/pair. Plus VAT etc of course.

RS2 are multi frequency, its such an advancement its not worth getting the older ones for almost any price.

AgOpenGPS is looking to get auto steer boards made down the steet fro mthem in Guandong. Ardusimple is working on dual antenna full cm accurate RTK in an IP67 box. Full auto headland, machine control, section control, NTRIP Server, obstacle and collision avoidance, elevation mapping, VR, so much more. It's going to be fun to see where this will end up.
