Costa and nandos say there shutting now. Get ready for panic buy round 2 if boris announces lock down tonight or tomorrow they'll be looting the supermarkets by Tuesday night. Defo need the army ready to roll as soon as the lock down announcement comes!

I don't use McDonalds and probably never will but boy am I glad they exist ...... they clear up a huge amount of our cull cows and they employ a huge amount of people .. No we don't rely on them but they do play a large part in the economy . ........ never thought I would ever be sticking up for Muck D's
My point is the mutants that live on McDonald’s day in day out can’t cook obese twits rely on them .

You are very rude about McDonalds. During the BSE time when they stopped buying British beef, the WFU was in close contact with them. Wherever their restuarants are, they try as far as possible to use local supplies, so long as it meets their criteria. So bread, salad items, chips, etc., it isn't all imported from the USA. They promised, and did, return to British beef just as soon as they could.

Maybe why that was the McDonalds I had in Germany didn't quite taste the same as in the UK.

Surely Nando’s ( never been in one and don’t want to) take a sizeable percentage of UK broiler output, there could be a heck of a glut of chicken in a very tightly balanced supply chain.....

I really hope so. My daughter works for Euro Garages who have numerous McD, Subway and Starbucks franchises.
Last week when govt announced all cafes should close, all the store managers received instructions minutes later that they are to stay open and allow customers to sit in if they want to. Daughter and many other managers defied the sit in refusing to let people sit, but stayed open for fear of losing their jobs.
I told her to self isolate. I don’t give a feck about Starbucks or Euro Garages but I do about my daughter who has asthma.
They are money grabbing barstewards who care not a jot about their staff.
Ive told her we’ll help with money until she can find something else to do. Until then, I hope these tossers have to pay all the staff whilst forced to close.
Good on Mcds for taking a lead.
Just called abattoir, lucky to get a couple of pigs in, last week they were rammed with livestock and now they're cancelling private kill, that will hurt us .....

I’ve just called Farmers Fresh, we have our first handful of lambs ready.

They’re not taking any bookings at the moment and for the foreseeable future.

That's exactly what I think the furloughed 80% is why they are closing , no one will want to work now . Poor health service workers in the front line for 20% more .
Something not just right
Remember the 80% is for those who would otherwise be made redundant and is for a 3 month period to co-incide with the coming lock down.
