No greater justification for receiving subsidies than producing cheap food for the public at, or below COP for the last 50 years IMO. He can keep his 10% tree planting scheme and f**k off. I'm going to do without subs ( again ) and do what I want with my bit of ground, which may, or may not involve growing food.

Same here - although, thankfully, we don't fall under the 'umbrella' of that Drakeford bloke.

I suspect, like @7610 super q , I am lucky that I'm nearer the end of my farming career than the beginning so, ELMS, SFI and whatever other hair brained schemes they care to come up with won't ever feature on my tiny bit of the British landscape.

Apparently there's a cost of living crisis and food shortages - last time I looked, spruce and the like, didn't feature too highly on the list of nutritious foods.

Question is do the taxes that a Bangladeshi taxi driver pays even cover the maintenance of the roads their vehicles damage?

They certainly have not contributed to the taxes which built and developed the road network.

In the cold light of day farmers have contributed more tax to the economy than a first generation ‘Bangladeshi taxi driver’ has ever.

Farmers have subsidised these taxi drivers!

the bloke is a grade a stroker poured money into Cardif airport that hasn't made a profit ever and one of the biggest polluters in the country, stopped the m4 bypass that everyone agreed was needed as the pollution and congestion in Newport was (apparently) extreme, his resolution put a 50 mph limit on in fact lets have a 50 mph limit on the whole m4 and 20 every where else that will sort it as i've no money left as i've spent it on planes and a bigger office and more mates to rule with me .Decided to go against scientific opinion and place the whole of Wales in a nvz yet let the biggest water polluters the water companies carry on polluting the rivers . tax the only other rural industry holiday makers and the second holiday homes debacle where it turns out he owns one .how can any one take this moron seriously or even vote the twit in.

Hate to say it but the trucking industry here is being taken over by East Indians/ Pakistanis. The government has welcomed them into Canada but it’s going to end up like the uk where one gets a job then 50 other family members turn up to suck off the welfare tit. im not racist but dislike having to support every stray that turns up at an airport with their hand out claiming to be a political refugee with a Rolex that’s most likely stolen.
