I have used K Seal twice now - on both occasions the water pump failed shortly afterwards, not sure if they were on the way out anyway or whether the K Seal is abrasive to water pump bearings

What's the one that comes in a tube sealed like putty and you crumble it in? Barrs?

I've had good results with that.

Works very well and seems to last well too. If one doesn’t do it then chuck another in. I think it actually held the head gasket on the John Deere for two years, a leaky rad was a clue as to what was really going on when we were silaging and two cans of k-seal stopped all signs for two and a half years. That two and a half years finishing coincided with chucking some injector cleaner in the tank, coincidence or not I don’t know.

I had a Golf TDI with a leaky head gasket, K Seal held it for four years before it was sold and still going today nine years later. Heater never worked properly again after adding the K Seal though!

What make and model of tractor needs £400 radiator?
Is this main dealer price?

i dont know what tractor the op has but if you think thats bad i was quoted £3,000 for a spurious rad 2 weeks ago to fit a Steyr 9125, its not available any longer from the main dealer either, discontinued.
