Kaiwaka Stormforce place of manufacturing

Does anyone know if all the Kaiwaka range is getting manufactured in Taiwan now? My older stuff is top notch and the label says made in NZ and I have 2 sets of newer leggings that are newer and the lining has failed and split on both pairs but the label says made in Taiwan. The older stuff is undoubtedly better quality! Have they just done the usual trick of sacrificing a good reputation for the sake of bigger profits?

Just looked at my new coat bought just before lambing, still says made in New Zealand on the label.
Bought kaiwaka instead of Betacraft, as I believe they're made in China

I’m wondering are some retailers getting lower quality ones from Taiwan hence managing to sell cheaper? Not knock off but lower grade.

I had a jacket must be 5 years ago which had a smaller weave to the fabric. That coat was hard as nails, took a lot of stick but kept going. I replaced it with a newer version a couple of years ago with a larger weave that wasn't anywhere near as good. So I've swapped brands to stoney creek.

Pioneer. It's more a rain jacket (torrential rain) then a winter jacket. Doesn't have the padding to keep you warm like the kaiwaka storm force.

Swanndri went the same quite a while back. Used to be a very strong and fine wool when made in NZ...... not so much now and can nip them through much easier.
