Sh!t hitting fan, the authorities are now asking Vlad for help in suppressing the people. Will have to be pretty brutal to stop the people now though, since momentum has been gained.

If Kazakhstan bins its dictators, there may be others in the region who follow - not helpful for Russia and China to have dictatorships challenged so near to home, so it probably will get pretty brutal... :(

will not hurt Vlad having other things on his mind than Ukraine. The Khazak regime is a pretty disgusting bunch of kleptocrats, certainly deserve being consigned to the dustbin of history.
I think Vlad will give his support, very little that we can say or do and I am certain Biden will have little interest

Shows how fragile some countries are.
Puppet state, like Belarus?

Don't see us rioting about alleged fuel ripoffs here - motorists being overcharged by £5mln a day according to the BBC iirc. We just get rather cross....

Found this interesting...
It has been reported here, I think most in the west believe it is for Russian consumption as opposed to any realistic threat. However it should be read far more widely particularly those useful idiots on both Right and Left who think the sun shines out of Vlads rear end.
He has been working hard for years to drive splinters in any weak point he can find and that has not been difficult for him. Brexit was a godsend , he was always aware that Britain was. By far and away the most anti Russian state and now he has a stranglehold on Europes energy supply he feels he can dictate any terms he likes.
One good thing Trump did was to raise concerns about the Nordstream gas link , however it is probably far too late. Those politicians responsible for destroying all the coal plants in Europe should be hung out to dry

Having some knowledge of that part of the world some may be surprised to know that they are net exporters of cereals cotton & livestock. Deere,Claas & CNH now ensure that their harvests are gathered in.The indigenous population/s are well fed and watered. With the msm reporting do not take it all for granted. My brother in law still farms in that part of the world so I am aware of the situation.

They even have western looking night clubs with young people who say "like" and "awesome" in every sentence. Impressive in that climate

Yes they have vast mineral wealth, but how on earth are 18 million people kept fed & housed to cope with minus forty C winters & plus forty C summers nowt much in between & its a great big rocky desert.

I went there about 12yrs ago and the potential for ag there is massive, we visited a guy who had decided to have a dabble in potoates with 250ha. Had a ride round a field with a guy on a challenger 875 drilling at 19kph and it took an hour and a half to go once round the headland, didn’t make the mistake of asking for a trip round the field at any of our other stops 😂

All irrigated I presume?

Was it Kazahstan where the Aral sea shrunk because of cotton irrigation?
