With everything going on in the world at the moment and the re-introduction of battefield nuclear weapons by the US, it seems fairly likely we are going to see some form of thermo nuclear use within the next 5 years.

What is everyone’s contingency plan to keep ECUs Alive during this? Should we buy spares and keep them in a lead vault? Or have a contingency plan to bypass the ECU.

WTF??????
Massey 35X will win the day here then:)

Why? The need to till the soil will still be there and agricultural equipment will be helpful to clear up the debris.

I think it’s worth thinking about a contingency plan.
Basically man is not an island. No point stocking up on spare ECUs my friend if you have no diesel or kero left, because no lorries can run or depots operate. We’ll ALL be totally fudged.

Well if we can bypass them and blame it on the war, I go with that ............

Surely its sweet talking Saint Peter, or whoever is on the pearly gates on the day, we should be planning .........

Are you smoking crack

Despite living a reasonable outward looking life, attending university and living in a state where it is legal to get high as a kite, I have never had any occasion to touch narcotics. However from what I understand the use of cocaine more focuses ones mind on near term issues, rather than long term strategic planning as is the basis of this thread.

I don’t have any association with Trsar Putin, but one could argue the proliferation of electronics in agricultural machinery and the advent of cloud computing is part of his long game.
Of course
We should be looking at inflicting such harm back on the enemy if theres such an occurrence.
Hopefully deterrence should suffice!

It’s not out of the norm to stock 6months of fuel on farm.
What happens if you’ve put your shiny new ECU from your lead lined safe on (remembering that most machines now have several ECUs anyway).

All good. Then there’s another EMP strike to clear up what’s left running a few days / weeks later....how many spare ECUs are you planning on holding and where are you going to get them from?

It’s a circular argument bud.

Whether it’s fuel or ECUs or flipping zombies or hungry buggers from town or whatever. Ultimately we’re all screwed.
