Keeping the tractor running after nuclear war

I'm pretty confident the Grey fergie, fordson Majors, MF35, and mk4 Hilux will work just fine after an EMP.
I'm pretty sure the mx135 and Fastrac would run too.

I have the keys to 2 nuclear bunkers.

Next question

So.. if I get a bobcat as next handler, I might be able to keep it working as the mechanic for it is likely to survive nuclear attack, but the workshop/parts department is a bit close to a first wave target site(n):banghead:

If you act on Britains nuclear attack policy from the early 80s a pantry door with a mattress on top will save you from a 25kt warhead

I've already Invested in a failsafe mechanism that will ensure I can comticon to farm post war, it has 4 legs and goes neigh, runs on grass (so I assume when the grass is irradiated it will become nuclear fueled?)

Nags will be too much of an overhead, you need to use bullocks, then you can eat them afterwards (unless you're French of course, it wouldn't make any difference then)

With everything going on in the world at the moment and the re-introduction of battefield nuclear weapons by the US, it seems fairly likely we are going to see some form of thermo nuclear use within the next 5 years.

What is everyone’s contingency plan to keep ECUs Alive during this? Should we buy spares and keep them in a lead vault? Or have a contingency plan to bypass the ECU.

Whilst I agree the world is running into some kind of collision course. Nuclear isn’t going to happen.

I don’t think a mild nuclear attack would lead to the total destruction people think it would. There is a true story of a Japanese man who worked for Mitsubishi corporation. On his way to work at Nagasaki he hears the air raid siren and goes for cover in a rice paddy. Boom. Nagasaki is gone. He then goes and gets a train to Hiroshima . He is just letting his bosses know about what he saw at Nagasaki when boom. That town is gone aswell. He later went on to bear children.

Somewhat unlikely. there were several days between the two bombs, and I think even then the Jap trains ran faster than ours. Also, the first fell on Hiroshima!

Why are you all on about this is total rubbish
It still beats Brexit Breakdown on 79 different levels.

I think about the only thing that would happen differently on this farm is I would stop getting shocks from the fences and SAME mightn't charge her battery, I'd need to use the Nuffield and jumpers.

I think my diesel reserve will last about 6 years @170 l/p.a.

Sitting on a real knife edge here .
