Kent Land Owners - Permission To Shoot?

Hello group,

I hope this is the right place for my post, as I want to obtain permission from land owners to shoot Pigeon, Rabbit and Hare in areas of Kent.

I am a 60yr old fit and healthy shooter with SGC, FAC and an open ticket.

I am soon to buy a bolt action .22 WMR rifle and apart from the usual distance target shooting I would like to hunt some small ground game and pigeon.

I have experience of regular Game shooting of Pheasant, Duck and Goose.

I look forward to some constructive replies.

I have shooting insurance obviously, I have also shot on a couple of pieces of land in Hertforshire and not been asked for any payment.

I wasnt aware that land owners took payment, I thought it would be doing the land owner a favour of getting rid of them as pests?
Rough shooting round this area is about £2.00 an acre, it does have a lot of wildfowl though, what I find is we get a lot of people want to shoot but only turn up when it suits them, not when we have a problem with pests, so a small fee sometimes gives gives them some incentive.

Well thats not extortionate. Apart from some Saturdays & Sundays doing practical shooting or clays with my daughter, my free weekends are always available to rough shoot. I could always put off a clay shoot for pest control. I would ideally like to get permissions within say 30 miles of Dartford, so how would I go about this?

Hello Phil, so do you have any reccomendations that I could follow up?
