Don't know about kerb but I'm pretty sure that when ive used it clomazone has knocked the crop and cost yield. Is there any difference in OSR yield between Kerb/Astrokerb/not sprayed? Any data somebody can point me towards please?
Are you claiming some sort of herbicide/CSFB interaction?“…and most importantly CSFB free plant…”
Seen similar in barley that was planted after pre seed burn down with round up. Part field sprayed to empty out the sprayer and it emerged four days later and never caught up. Not sure on yield difference thou. Monsanto claim it’s degraded on contact with soil. Any chemical is a poison so it’s to be expectedNot herbicide as such but anything that makes a plant weaker. I had some trouble spreading a autumn fert blend on rape a few years ago and where the fert had under dosed the rape was destroyed by beetle where the fert had over dosed and produced big strong plants, they were untouched by beetle.
I've seen similar with pre em clomazone spray misses had no beetle because I assume they were bigger stringer plants.
interesting thought……Is there any difference in OSR yield between Kerb/Astrokerb/not sprayed? Any data somebody can point me towards please?
I agree. The only thing that works to control csfb (chems, fancy companion cropping, etc) is when the plant grows faster than the csfb can eat it. Anything that holds the plant back will help the beetle. Not herbicide as such but anything that makes a plant weaker. yesIs there a shortage of kerb?
