KFC crisis!

Interesting listening to KFC customers being interviewed on the wireless this morning about their beloved KFC running out of chooks. I'm worried that some would rather end it all than face another day without the only food they know and are not allergic to. If this crisis carries on much longer, I'm afraid there will be rioting on the streets and a general state of anarchy will hit the UK's inner city areas. :woot:

Just as an aside from this, which just seems to be a cock-up by DHL in terms of delivery, when a firm as big a Russell Hume (?) goes tits up, is there enough slack in the delivery chain for everyone to be supplied without a big shortfall?

god help this country if we ever have a real natural disaster etc watching the scenes on the news last night you would think aliens had landed or WW3 had broken out

who the hell eats that junk anyway ?
Don't know if it's junk or not I have never eaten any
Not that I am losing any sleep about it

It’s a well known fact that chicken is in short supply. Having recently looked at both egg and chicken meat production there appears to be a call for more more more. What’s off putting though is brexit and whether imports will take up that needed supply. It’s a big long term investment to setup. Those that got in a while ago are doing well, very well presently.

If the problem really has been caused by Drop it, Hide it, Lose it, then what is happening to the freshly slaughtered chicken - will there be a glut on supermarket shelves or is there somewhere which can package and freeze it all. Or will the catchers have been laid off and the growing crops of chicken be allowed to grow on and go completely off their legs ?
When l read that DHL were involved l thought "Enough said!" We have had one or two things enter The Bermuda Triangle that should have been delivered by The "Dozy Hopeless Losers".

I had no idea how that end of the " food chain " worked TBH. It really does sound like factory farming getting DHL to deliver " perishable " goods......
