Not sure about those but both my boys have had the John Deere branded Pego tractors and gators

They absolutely love them, having worn through at least 2 sets of wheels on each machine and probably a couple of batteries a piece too.

The only one that didn't last years of abuse was the 4x6 24v gator

As a plus can be bought through local JD dealer

Also interested in this, the ones Iā€™ve seen usually do all of 2-3mph, which is in reality very slow. Would be nice to have maybe 5-7mph speed and suitable for bumpy terrain / round the yard...

Plastic tyres and 2 gears with top speed of maybe 5 mph limit where they can go (not always a bad thing).

Mine are just progressing onto electric quads which are a lot faster and with rubber tyres a lot more capable but they need to learn throttle and brake control which the other stuff doesn't teach them

Brilliant, grandchildren have a Pego John Deere gator now on it's second set of wheels and original battery. They have hours of fun on it round the yard, they even fetch the shavings for their mum's horse and take my toolbox round the yard for me and numerous other little fetch and carry tasks. All part of growing up and learning.

I know this is a difficult question due to individuality etc; but which is a better toy? Ie the tractor or gator?
Of course both but I can see the tractor has more options; then thatā€™s also more attachments, but thatā€™s a good thing.
Then the gator is handy as it can transport stuff as it is??
Just interested in how others got on.
