FIL has done up the old 584 2wd we had here and we are using it again for light duties.
17yo son drove it last week and that was the first ever 2wd he has driven and the first with a stop lever! It does have power steering and a cab. He couldn't believe how good the turning circle is!
Kids these days are missing out!

I have recently had my late Dads old MF 165 done up.

Took my lad up the yard to see it, opened up the workshop doors and he just stood there, open mouthed and said

"THAT is the best tractor in the world!"

Job done. Dad retains Super Status!

We have small 2wd tractors here very often use one of them and leave the big stuff in the shed

We had one of these,was not small however really versatile.

Was an amazing puller with unbelievable low down grunt.

Traded it in,was sad to see it go.

They were a god tractor, fantastic MWM engines in some of them. I drove a white one (Tracfor model) occasionally. The cab was rubbish but underneath it was very good.

Estate i worked on in Hants had a JD 4255 and a 125hp Renault same hp but the JD was a drivers tractor but the Renault was the tractor to pull. Less gear changes in work than the deere always.

For turning circle it was hard to beat a 574, the 84's seemed a bit awkward when I drove them first.

Most reliable tractor we ever owned. Ours was smaller model though, 75hp. Put about 18000 hrs on it. Still run a Renault and a class now.

Had this as 2wd for a short while.
Turning circle was a tad worse !!!
So once the front axle was repaired, she went back as intended.
It was driven a good distance like this, to get it to its new home, no trouble.

I bet you were! A "proper" Renault with the glorious MWM engine.
