Blues are fine ,especially out of dairy cows, sometimes can be too friendly because of bucket rearing and more likely to want to bunt you, although you never want to trust any,I had cracked ribs for evidence

Steers and heifers 51-54% from full weight, some short coupled bellied things can do under 50. I’ve sent black and white bulls on the same wagon in the past and some have died better than some blues. Blues as O+, b/w -O. There are too many bad BB AI bulls being used in my opinion most of them slipped into these three way fertility plus straws

I would say 52-54 as previously mentioned would be spot on couple of percent more for bulls.

This is if they are all adequately covered in flesh and well fed for slaughter.

421kg/730kg LWT is 57%, grass only.

Good chap, I told TFF he was "a shorthorn" to avoid the backlash of using him across yearling heifers :bag: but threw very small calves and quite short gestation too.

You’re lucky you don’t get the pleasure of UK spec carcass trim. 2-3% off just for fun
This guy lost quite a bit from bruising, unfortunately he thought scrapping while waiting for a ride outta here was a good idea.
Powerful big sod, he threw another 700kg bull clean through the rails of our cattleyards, which cost another whole shoulder for bruising 🤬

Ouch sorry to hear, yes i was always brought up being told to never to trust a bull.

How do you go on with group sizes? Is there a limit to stop bullying from happening or are they ok?
