King Thistles

I was using the ride on mower yesterday doing the lawns and an area outside the garden fence. In the fence line there's a spear thistle, about 3' tall and in flower, I quite like it. I remember my late father referring to king thistles, I suppose that if you had too many of them they'd be f**king thistles.

Bees love the flowers , its a real bee puller,( that's if there's any Bees left:unsure:)

Later on Goldfinches come for the seed, theym a real bird puller :sneaky:

Apart from that they are the most injurious,(n) blinking barstewards of the lot.....

My mum grows some of the less spiky ones on her garden I was there the one day knocked the tops off 3 or 4 not knowing any better she hit the bloody roof still can’t quite fathom how she paid money for a thistle

All are striking...
