Just came out on Netflix here. Giving it a watch. It’s been mentioned in a couple other threads but deserves one of its own.

Message is simple and fairly clear. Keep the soil healthy. Keep the soil covered.

There are parts that are annoying. Spray planes when talking about glyphosate. GMOs are all negative, no mention of positives. Haven’t heard anything about min til methods yet.

Not sure it’s going to be the link between conventional and regenerative farmers, it’s not talking about easing into alternate methods. Just how current methods suck. Which isn’t the way to change minds but.... what can you do. Become a director of documentary’s hah

I've never watched it yet(don't have a netflix account)
And yes that is not the way to change minds, they should first show that the alternate way of farming works then show why the alternative way is necessary.

It seems quite divisive in that respect, I watched a bit of it and turned it off, had stock to shift.

The desire to carry on watching it isn't there - just being honest with y'all, the "your way sucks" method of shifting the conversation isn't going to work magic.
But neither is "we grew sunflowers last year so we're regenerative now" delusion that many proponents seem to have.

At least it'll get people talking, that's the main thing

Chorus of moans from daughters when requested use of TV and Netflix yesterday evening, asked what for, “Kiss the Ground” I was expecting more groans. Instead - Oh good we’ve been talking about it in school replied the year 13 geography student! Only 20 minutes in Woody Harrelson has a great narrating voice.

I think a lot of farmers will not like what they say about use of synthetic’s and tillage....... but only because its a truth they don’t want to confront

We have the potential to save this planet - we can be the superheroes in this story not the bad guys we are currently cast as

many farmers are very resistant to any environmental or green message.
ESPECIALLY on TFF I’ve noticed.

agriculture is just as big a problem as transport, manufacturing, fossil fuel industry, electricity generation, over population etc etc
