That’s good to know, I heard I can get parts from Garford and maybe grimme as they brought out Kleine.
Looks simple enough.

Kline has stainless backing plates not like plastic on older monopil don't get static build up same . Ours dots the seed out perfect but changed to 7 hole cell wheels , so they run slower , never go over 7 k any way , electric drive good can alter seed spacing on move if you fancy a bit more on headlands or rough cloudy bits and bsck off on nice silt
Well worth getting metcalfe tungsten coulters . Keep the shape and cut a nice groove ,

Mark is your man at Garfords
Ours maybe for sale . When and if we find a mulch drill

I imported mine from Holland last year, like @Will 1594 said Mark is your man a Garfords, keep a tooth brush handy for the sensors, they get covered in dust/ dirt,so throw a wobbly now and then, keep a spare sensor, the seed press tyres split, just replaced all mine, had a circuit board go down last year where it lost drive to one of the rows,so the only remedy was to replace the board, that's wasn't a cheap exercise,Grimme sell the new version but don't stock many parts, yet.
Seed placement is excellent as is seed depth control, just beware they can place the seed a bit deep if not you are not aware, keep an eye on the adjuster nut they vibrate loose especially on stoney ground :bag::bag:.
Lesson learnt!.

How do you get on putting them in behind the wheels?

How do you get on putting them in behind the wheels?
It did drill OK and the beet came with out a problem, but I fabricated a pair of wheel eradicators in the winter, took a bit of working out as there is not much room, just clear the rear tyres.
Last year the units behind the wheels got a bit of stick due to bouncing on the imprints left by the cleats.
Job sorted,

We are on our second all mechanical mulch drill here in 20 yrs, very simple and reliable drills . Make sure you get the right press wheel/covering set-up for your soil, we seem to have gone round the houses trying different things like the horrible finger press wheels, it's been an expensive journey!

What’s wrong with the finger press wheels? We are on chalky boulder clay. Reasonably heavy ground.
