I had thought of one and they’d be great, but I don’t have a quad, and doubt my bm would make quite the mess if taken into the field!

Would like it for garden as well as hedge row broome killing

Bought one of these 4 years ago, I only expected it to last a season. Its had lots of use, is never washed out but has been faultless far better and far cheaper than its Cooper Pegler predecessor.

I like the look of that will put on shortlist
I still have the Berthoud 2000 version which I used before I got the battery powered Matabi. It’s a good bit of kit. The harness is excellent, it’s just a shame the Berthoud battery powered version was double the price of the Matabi and over 50% heavier.

I have a titan battery push mower, quite good for the price sprayer looks similar so will put it on shortlist too
The battery lasts at least 4 fills, which is as much as I want to do in one hit. The wide straps don't cut in. The nozzle range cover all l need to do and push out a reasonable volume so you can get on quickly.

I use these cheap and cheerful knapsacks, I have 4 for different jobs, ie Moss,BLWsx2, Glyphosate , never any cleaning out issues because I never cross over jobs!! and i have still spent less than a lot of NAMED brands.

I've a Technoma 18L knapsack, definitely well in excess of 20yr and still working perfectly.

Not sure if they still offer them or not but obviously I'd highly recommend one if they do.

I've a Draper quad sprayer as well but frequently find it handier to just pull on the knapsack.

Guess it depends what you'd be doing.

Cooper pegler are the standard against which all others are measured. Go for the comfort model though. Takes a standard hypro sprayer nozzle if required too. Not cheap but by far the best quality.
The Matabi and Berthoud also takes a standard spray nozzle.

From experience I would take a Berthoud over a Cooper Pegler given the choice. My biggest (only) concern with the Matatbi would be potential availability of spare parts and repairability compared with both Berthoud and Cooper Pegler.
