Knocking Down Ploughings Before Drilling

I made my own press from a farm force plough press. It’s a double ring row press and I put steering on it and it’s transformed combi drilling for us. Cost me about £700 to do it and worth every penny. It’s 2.5m so just inside the width and makes it easier to get in places for front swing.

Tidy, but I reckon you could drop that press off, along with the PH tines, and still have nicely planted seed. We can't see the other end of the field, though.

@e3120 yeah I could of but this was a contract drilling job which I didn’t know the customer was going to power Harrow infront of me. Normally this press goes straight on ploughing and in nice soil it does a brilliant job and it’s like it’s been harrowed if it’s near dry. Main difference I’ve eeen is I can drill 2k faster and still make a better job and the wheelings are hardly noticeable as the soil is going under the tractor level instead of compacted and 6” taller when on ploughing with no press and flows through the Harrow evenly.
