Hi has anyone bought one of these telehandlers and are they happy with it? I am having one on demo this week, looking to replace our old Jcb 526 and dad wants something lower (to get in and out of) and slightly smaller now for cattle sheds etc. The kramer is lower and runs on 20" rims with the Jcb on 24" for a start.
Experiences welcome, thanks

Still got the Kramer on demo, its ok and a nice machine. Manoeuvrable, hydraulics good.
Handbrake is crap, like an old car one and in an awkward position. Controls are good but not, they
arse about face when used to a JCB. Forward and reverse is on top of joystick next to boom in/out and exactly the same roller switch. Auxillary is under joystick.
Cab cramped and still has a step to get in. I won't be buying one.
Had JCB 525-60 AGRI PLUS on demo as well, smaller/lower than the Kramer.
An old chap that helps saw it and thought they had sent the wrong machine to compare to the Kramer! He thought the JCB looked like a 1.5t machine.
Jcb very good, bit more reach than the Kramer but same lift height. Same engine 'Kohler' 75hp.
All controls good and what we are used to, you jump into the cab with no step, easy for dad to get in and out.
The curved window is better on the Kramer, in the Jcb you sit very low and so you would be looking through the roof window 30% of the time. Not really a problem as easy to reach and clean!
My dad and I like the Jcb the best.
Myself and the lad that helps would have another Jcb 536-60 insteadbut dad is not so keen on the knuckle that sticks out on the tipping ram when he uses it in the cattle sheds. Think its age, the dimensions of our 536 are very similar to the 526.
All the Jcbs the horizontal tipping ram now just about, apart from this 525 and the odd industrial machine.
Replacement for the 526 is a 532-60 I think .

What about a 527-58 only one step to get in. Narrower than a 526.

Visibility to the side doesn't so good on those. I have looked at them briefly but never driven one.
To my mind a 525-60 would be far better for dad, visibility is very good considering how low you sit.

Yes your right the engine bonnet is very high. 525-60 or the Kramer 276 is far better from that point of view.

I am tempted with a KT276 but have two main concerns. 1) will it have enough power to push up grain? 2) Will it tow a 8t trailer a mile or so (6t fertiliser + trailer) on flat ground very occasionally?

The Kramer is gutless on the road just like the JCB, we only tow an empty straw trailer to the field behind the 525.
Plenty of guts when mucking out a cattle shed, it will just keep pushing but on the road it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding!
The 536-60 carts the seed about generally and around 8t in total max.
