Have you had a look inside?. The first ZA-M we had had a few shutter issues. The motors inside were Bosch windscreen wiper motors and I got replacements from the local Bosch agent. The next spreader had no issues in 10 years

Screenshot_20180403-201225.png on ebay, includes the vat so helps a bit, if you google Amazone and the part number, it turns up quite a bit, but thats the best price I found by a quick glance.

Somehow the cable wrapped itself around the disc last time I used it which has done a fair bit of damage as the cable got pulled out of the housing. Someone suggested David King, do you think that is the sort of thing they could repair?

The broken disc that the sensor works off has probably made it not repairable. I would think you would not be able to source a replacement. May be worth ringing David King though

We can do part number for £480, delivery. Can probably also get just the disc, one of our suppliers offers a 3d printing service for such parts, but I'd be worried of not getting it back to you in time at this time of year.
