Thankyou, I think I have registered.
I assume discount is same regardless of dealer partner chosen?
Discount seems to get applied once your at checkout or poss afterwards, but it clearly shows it at some point!
Ive had mine about a year & only used it for the first time a week or so ago.
your dealer will get intouch with your username & password !!
Great once your logged in as everything then has a PRICE !!
Good luck

Presumably the dealer partner must get at least 10% to cover invoicing, admin, etc. They cant work for nothing.
What I am driving at is that a full trade account would still be preferable, but I doubt many workshops would make the minimum turnover.
Will be handy to get online access to prices because I hate having to up and ask price, only to then have to take prices from elsewhere for comparison. You soon get labelled for a timewasting cheapskate.

It appears as a member of the UFU this offer doesn't apply, as ever j would get as much use out of my membership money if I gathered it up in fivers and burnt it to keep warm.......useless.
Each to there own iam in the NFU for other reasons & easily get half my membership costs back yearly so can live with that just about
Plus one day they might be the only ones to shout at that might listen ?? who knows.

My account is through local NH dealer, with no involvement with NFU. Might be well worth approaching some of your usual suspects to see if they do/want to play ball. My dealer sees it as an opportunity to get some action on tat where they'd not normally get considered.

I'm the same, direct with dealer, think its the parts manager that sets the discount. If I'm on a big order or big item I'll phone and ask if theres a bit more to be got.
Its sometimes near 2 month to be invoiced as well if you time it right.
The ability to find out prices without phoning up dealer parts man is great too.

what's 10% margin when the credit card company takes 2.5% for processing the payment ?
The dealer has to create an invoice to match the order and create a purchase order to kramp
sort out any mistakes or returns or missing delivery's
post the invoice to the customer ( stamps are now 65p)
wait to get paid
send a few statements
wait 3months + to get paid
most orders according to kramp are less than £100
would you do all that work for £10?
The dealer storeman has to be paid somehow.

I have no idea of dealer margins etc, but I take your point that the admin needs a margin, and I have no issue with that, I'm not expecting it done for nothing, I want my dealer to survive and be open when I burst a pipe or whatever.

That list of things you have to do, you have to do if I'm buying said item from dealer anyway? But he is getting the same income but doesn't have to handle the goods as they are delivered direct?
The dealer storeman will be there anyway, either dealing with me face to face, or answering my phone call to find out the price of something, and sorting out boxes of stuff in the store, and handing them over the counter to me, or dealing the paperwork instead, because the courier has done the manual bit, except the secretary in the office can do most of the admin in a few clicks and an email nowadays.
I maybe wrongly asumed that if a dealer can increase his turnover with Kramp they might get bigger discount therefore improving their overall margin???

My dealer(further away than two others) that has offered me a Kramp account through him has picked up more of my business because I like the handiness of it and not having to phone up, find out the price, and then wait for them to get it in, and then go and collect.

Kramp and all these similar companies should get into the 21st century, and base their business on the likes of Amazon. Trade accounts ,and their discounts are old news. They have the infrastructure to pick and send the parts to all addresses, all they need is to take online payments, and we all could benefit from discounted value for money products.. farming is economically tough...why line the pockets of dealers? When we all treat our livestock and crops to limit parasites!

You must work in a diff climate to me then
I get the Invoices via email from my Kramp Supplying Dealer whom i pay within a short time of getting the Invoice via BACS.
None of them knocking on my door or not offering me credit terms ie pay within 28days of getting there invoice.
Maybes iam too honest i dunno or brought up right maybes.
Still source other parts from same Main dealer for other things.
Buy things from various main dealers for all sorts of reasons.
Everyone paid within terms of there business when the Invoices arrive.
Each has the good points & some bad but not so many thankfully.

The Kramp setup is good but like you say i'll wait until i have atleast £100 for future order, but to be honest that wont take much doing

i do agree & we all should be able to source at a sensible discount genuine spares esp filters for Tractors but this seems a challenge.

Yeah this is the thing no one pays us to go & pick parts up, but try getting a mechanic out & by heck your charged one way or the other travelling time.
strange world we live in aint it. Its as if our time is worthless ???

These two sites are well worth checking out if you have the correct part number. Found a number of bargains over the years for myself and my customers..from power harrow gears, shafts ,tyne holders..to tractor eletrical components.
