Hi there anyone on here run these balers? Looking at one to replace an mf. We want a baler that will bale 450-500kg bales fast.
We have ran one for few years now , bale haylage & straw with in in nice dry straw 450 to 500kg bales is no problem at all , we had a Mf 2170 before that & the krone is 10 times a better baler than a Mf , they need to be set up right the get the most out of them.

Definitely wouldn't buy a used one after some horror stories of a local one this summer! They are great upto 3 seasons but cost mega bucks to maintain after that when you have to rebulid the VFS.
our one is 5 or 6 years old now & never had the VFS touched as i say the timing on these need to be set up right, I would never have another MF baler it was a a nightmare of a thing, the Claas is a good baler worth a look at as well

There is two new MF 2270 XD balers in the area this year & both have had major breakdowns , breaking Rotor Shafts & main bearings failing in them , the same problems we had with our 2170 + a whole load more
