Krone AM series mower main gearbox

As title...
father bought a AM 243 CV mower conditioner last week, luck of the draw means the main gearbox is knackered.

This is the gearbox that the CV joint at the bottom feeds into, and drives the mower bed.

Anyone know of, or is breaking, one of these mowers?

Hi I had the same last week a new gearbox for it is £1300. So we got the 2 shafts, bearings, oil seals and keyways for it for 800 inc vat. Sorry I couldn’t find a gearbox for it either

yeah Ive decided to go down the rebuild route too.

interestingly enough, I was quoted a good chunk less... £430 plus vat for all the same parts. I kept the original keys cos they looked fine.

Rebuilt mine last year as leaking. Less than £100 from local bearing supplier. Think they were fag bearings I put in. And seals.

bearings were cheap enough - £15-£18 quid each so i CBA to shop around on them. seals must have just been a few quid.

crown gear - £130ish, pinion shaft - £260-ish.

I'll get the parts tomorrow and see what the actual bill looks like!
