We've a 280 Krone non conditioner mower.
It mows great on its right side
But the left side doesn't cut as clean.
Amy suggestions?
Thanks.

If it’s anything like our non conditioner easycut 320 sometimes it won’t drop to the ground properly nearest the tractor when the mower is lowered. Try tightening the spring it may make it more balanced if that makes sense.

As you stand behind the mower, the left side is not cut cleanly.
Are you aware krone beds can be assembled so that the discs spin either way. You can have them running all contra rotating like most beds or the three either side all turning inwards towards each other.
Might be worth checking the discs turn the way they should be and blades fitted correctly

Mine was doing similar today when I got out the tractor and looked the bed wasn't touching the ground on the left. I squirted some oil on the linkages between the mower and the arm it hangs on and slammed it down a time or two and it worked perfect.

Will a 280 be 7 discs? First two discs spin same direction. As above ensure blades are correct for the way the discs are spinning as the hubs can be matched to two different drive gears inside bed to alternate the direction. It could have 4 discs spinning same direction. Spin first disc by hand and ovserve which way all others turn. First disc should spin inwards and last disc should also spin inwards but both will be spinning in opposite direction to move the crop inwards. The manual in a Krone explains it well

Our Easycut 320 did the same, the side nearest the tractor didn't always go down flat. Dealer said it was the drive shaft not sliding properly, he said take the shaft off and clean and oil it. I haven't had a problem since I did that.

Pto shafts are one of the most expensive wearing parts in a machine. It backed me that folk don’t strip them and grease up properly on a regular basis

The pto sticking seems to be a common problem on new Krone machines, so the mechanic at the dealership was telling me. One contractor told me he had the same problem with his new triple mower.
Might have improved now, this was a couple of years ago.
