Take the discs off 4 17 mm bolts then you will be able to see the 8 on the inside and 10 on the 2 outside 17 mm nuts that hold the bearing satellites onto the mower bed. Take out the satellites that you need to change rotation with and turn them 90 degrees so the gear in the satellite drives from the opposite side bed gear. Make sure you time the drive plates parallel so that the discs don’t hit each other. When satellites and discs are all refitted turn mower over by hand a few turns to make sure timing is correct. Don’t overtighten satellite nuts they are easy stripped
Whoa I won’t be touching it.Krone often turn mowers out with discs rotating one inwards towads the centre of the bed. The actually cut better in pairs of discs rotating in opposite directions
It’s easy there’s nothing to be frightened of. The mower sounds like it’s set up the way I like it. How many discs has it got?Whoa I won’t be touching it.
Neither of the centre discs turn towards the centre which I find strange as surely there will produce two swaths
So the four outside turn towards the centre and the two centre turn towards the outside?6 - outside two are drum type then 4 inner discs
CorrectSo the four outside turn towards the centre and the two centre turn towards the outside?
It will cut well set up that wayCorrect
So would you say this set up is ok?If you turn the two middle discs the opposite direction it won’t cut as well and be likley to leave a ridge in the middle in certain crops
Only in a really sh!t cropSo would you say this set up is ok?
Was thinking swath would be uneven?
