Anyone replaced a cam track on a Krone swadro twin rake, I assume that it will come off the bottom of the shaft where the wheels are with a bit of spannering ? No need to take the gears above it apart ?
Dont waste your time starting on the bottom go from the top down, once youve done a few if it it all comes apart easy you can have them stripped in a couple of hours if it fights you it can be much longer, the top casting can be the hardest part we have made up a tool to pull them off and still need to heat them some times other times they just lift off just the luck of the draw. Make sure you mark the position of the top housing onto the shaft and the cam tracks have two key ways depending if its on the left or right side of the machine also watch for the shims on top of the crown wheel.
Its unusual for the cam tracks to fail normally the crown wheel and pinion that go , probably worth replacing the pinion bearings while your in there and they need about a litre of liquid grease in the crown wheel and pinion when you reassemble it.
