Just got one here David, from the very little we’ve done with it so far, I do like it, not the quickest on the road due to the hydrostatic tranny but we got on well with our previous rtv900, which was a good machine which we spent bugger all on. If you want to have a look you are more than welcome

How does it compare to the rtv 900 If I may ask. We had a rtv 900 a really reliable piece of kit but was lacking uphill power and constant changing gears ranges. Have they improved on them since the 900? Got a gator now goes around the farm much quicker (more suitable for us being manly sheep producers)

In my opinion the old Rtv 900 was far better built than the newer RTV X 900.

The suspension bushes on the X are very poor and loads of them.

The hydro trans doesn't drive aswell either. Better since I fiddled with it and screwed the engine power up slightly but still poor.

Front diff input splines worn out too not had that on the old one.

The design of the chassis is cheap too compared to the old one and not as easy to service.

I wouldn't buy an X one my self but then I have no experience of anything else.

Too sluggish and very heavy
Just ordered a Polaris Ranger which is my 3rd one
Very close to buying a can am traxter and would in a second if they did a diesel

Can am getting popular around here converted to lpg and a tank in the farmyard. Supposed to be rapid

Give the ranger a try before you go spending gator money

Is anyone doing much towing with a Kubota RTV?

They are only rated to 450kg towing capacity. Is going above this likely to damage the hydrostatic transmission or is it just that you would be pushed around by the trailer ?

I need to tow a milk bar feeder that will be around a ton fully loaded but mostly on flat ground

I’ve got a Polaris Ranger Diesel (20 plate) pulls the Rappa with DF race which is around 1250kg I think, happily tow along at 35-40mph on the flat and you can stop too!

Yeah, but the Polaris is rated to tow 1134kg (2500lbs) . Quite a difference from 450kg.

I doubt there would be much price difference? My quads are 600kg I think but both have HD hitches on to tow the Rappa too

They will tow well above what stated, the main issue with any trans issues is people with aggressive fed/reverse changes, at the end of the day it’s fairly well a compact tractor drive train.
The x1110 has got an extra 3 hp over the x900,
And a different hydro.
Also your dealer can bias the trans for tip end speed or engine braking.
They are a very different machine to most that are belt drive, so a lot of people on hills find them a lot safer on hills as the engine braking is very good!!

We pull 40' x 20' polytunnels (on skids) with ours. Went for the kubota thinking it would be better than burning belts pulling the tunnels at low speed.
Had it 2 summers now, moving 5 tunnels every day (just there own length). No problems so far, but got my eye on the polaris Kinetic when it finally arrives.

More than happy with our Corvus, we looked at the kubota at the time ( never tried one though)
Used daily 40mph on the flat and tows well

I was told 30k, but that was earlier in the summer.
That was the top model though. Getting a bit carried away with spec though - reverse camera, large multi function display screen.
But what's a gator with all the toys currently?

Not sure,I’ve not priced a gator,as told they’re expensive.

My Jimny is deceased and I need something to keep the kids off the quad.
