Is there a hole in the plate above the gear box?How do I get to the gearbox to check/change oil? Looks to be well buried and I can’t see any obvious access
The level plug is at approx. 9 o clock on the left hand side of the gearbox and the filler is on the top above the input shaft.Have had a better look this morning, I’m thinking that the net box needs to be removed to gain access. Only four bolts holding it in place plus the bottom fixing for the lid gas ram to remove. Good job it’s a 2 year oil service. Can’t see any dampness around gearbox so will leave it for now.
Didn’t think about that device, question is can you get the pipe past the gears and into the bottom of the box. Well worth investigating as a complete oil change has to be better for longevity.Could you use something with the same principal as one of these...but cheaper.

Just get a bit of similar sized hose, try it,measure how far down you get and you will get a good idea.Didn’t think about that device, question is can you get the pipe past the gears and into the bottom of the box. Well worth investigating as a complete oil change has to be better for longevity.
