Kuhn 2160 pickup drive spocket

Anyone changed this sprocket, there's a circlip holding the shaft in but it's inside a tube. Do we have to remove the whole pickup to get to it or are we missing something simple

Looks like our old vicon. If it's in the hinge for the pickup, 2 bolts takes the hinge off at the other side. Take out the ram pins. Drive chain is off already. Trolley jack under and roll it out to the side. Allows access to the circlip and bearings within

Dont thank me until you have it out in case I'm wrong and its different. Is it a non chopper? Looks slightly different from ours. If it's the same it's not a big job. In fact we used to nip pick up off in winter to change tines. Saved a lot of banged heads and nipped fingers.

how did you get on getting the new shaft aligned. Done that job here this last week and replacement part is machined slightly differently so alignment of the torque clutch is different as well as the chain driving the rotor. gonna be a bit more work here to get everything running in some sort of a line.

Don't know what to suggest, the only thing we found different was the keyway for the clutch was shorter so there was more metal left by the sprocket, which would hopefully make the part stronger
Keyway same here, I thought failure was due to bearings seizing in the pickup hinge. I've got the 12B chain to the pickup running in a line, but not much I can alter shim wise on the actual sprocket, so will have to see if i can add or remove shims on the other rotor drive sprockets and see if I can improve alignment there. Had the net actuator shear in half last night, so getting on well.
