Kuhn Axera EMC

Hello.
I am slowly looking to replace my current mechanical Kuhn MDS 935 spreader to electronically controlled Kuhn Axera EMC.
Prices for them are really low. Is there a common problem as they are so cheap?
Can't seem to find any bad reviews of them.
Has anybody priced how much a replacement EMC unit cost or other components which could fail?

I had one it was a great spreader.

Only problem I had was a bearing went in a hydraulic motor kuhn only supply a complete new motor but i stripped mine and fitted new bearings and it was fine .

I'd have had another if they still made them.

We have one with EMC it’s a 2007 model I think. The mass flow sensors are £600 each x3 actuators I think were £1400 for a pair. Hydraulic motors are about £600 each and a new circuit board was £1000 other than that we have not had anything go wrong

Yes it was an 1102 h emc

Do the EMC models all come with seperate weight cells or was it an option?
If I want to distribute other fertilizer, for which I don't know the flow factor, how can I set it up if it does not have weight cells?

You didn't get or need weigh cells with the axera .

It'll work out the flow factor itself in no time or if you know what the flow factor was from when you were last spreading that product then you can manually enter it .

You could put a bag of potash in one side and a bag of nitrogen in the other and it would empty at exactly the same time

I use to have one, really good machine , must have been 2006 ish .
Had oil leaks on motor shafts but was able to find bearings and seals independently of Kuhn ( as mentioned above also)
Our box went wrong at the end ( 11 years) but we spread around 750 tonnes a year so it had a busy life . It was quite difficult to wash off properly as it has a lot of stainless steel around the disc areas but difficult to get to frame inside . We use to periodically use handler and turn machine on its side or lift high so you could really wash it off properly.
