Kuhn combi baler

Hi
Just wondering if anyone has tried the latest Kuhn combi balers ? They have 3D wrapping and the roller balers have the option of using film or net , the models I'm interested in is the roller model Fbp3135
And belt combi vbp3165 and 3195
If anyone has any experiences with these models please

Was tempted to change to one this year. Esp like that the film is normal bale wrap. Thought there was a lot to like about them but stuck with what I know in the end. If you've a knowledgeable dealer close by be worth a shot imo.
Yes I like the fact it's normal bale wrap used too , got a good dealer 2 miles away

We run a 3135 FBP and 2265 VBP.
Both great balers and turn out solid bales.
Just finished 245 bale demo with the new 3135 which has the new film wrap option.
Performed without a hitch and definitely worth considering.
Have had Fusions before from series 1 right through to Plus 3. Never had a bad Fusion but we wont be going back anytime soon. Having to take grass in with the film isn't ideal or fail proof.

Thanks for that , what size bales will the belt one wrap up to ? Much difference between the 2 in silage ?

You could probably wrap a 1.5 mtr haylage bale as the wrapper calibrates itself to put on the right amount of revolutions depending on bale diameter.
We never go for anything bigger than 1.35 mt in silage as that is more than heavy enough for most clients to handle with a tractor and front end loader.
The 3135 always turns out a better looking bale in silage and is less dependent on having a perfectly formed row whereas the belt baler likes plenty of crop and a good full width row. Not always easy to make with some of the light crops and rough ground we get at times.
We will most likely swap out the 2265 for a 3135 FBP with Film as having two of the same balers will make life easier I feel.
The 3135 will just have the edge weight wise in silage bales and when things get damp it is superior to the belt baler but that will come as no surprise to anyone. Having said that, the 2265 is no slug in damp conditions and will get the job done but you will need to clean out the rollers and scrapers regularly.

Hi. I’ve got a Comprima CF155 XC film on film was one of 6 original prototype machines back in the day. Looking to change it. Tried the Kuhn fixed combo film on film did 170 bales with a fair bit of film failure which I countered by using dispensers with brakes off and various other tricks learned with film on film development. Conclusion is I’m thinking of abandoning film on film in favour 3D wrapping as benefits of 3D will surpass that of only film on bales. As recycling benefit is not apparent when our film collector won’t lift net replacement film as every layer has bits of dust or short grass between it! McHale 3plus film on film seemingly 95% effective our Comprima 98% Kuhn in my 170 bale trial 97% effective, but with brakes disconnected from dispensers. All in all none near 100% efficiency so thinking about going back to net & 3D to give us quality of bale we are used to from film on film. Thoughts????
