Is yours a standard or a plus? Were your selectable knives not working properly?
Is your a 2018 fusion? Mine is and selectable knives arent working properly, only one set will stay up, have blanks in the other setStandard
Yeah they weren't selecting the way they should and one set kept dropping out at irregular intervals. Work properly now though.

Dunno will i get much joy off them but ill try them anywayYes your dealer should sort the software update
Had the fusion before fbp kuhn and I moved purely because of problems I had with the mchale and in my area mchale backup not as good as the kuhn dealer , in fact there is no comparison between the two in terms of backup!
But running the kuhn last year on plastic ( not film ) like the mchale has I could see the difference in bale quality, baler also has far superior intake system especially notable in short grass , still packs it in very tightly
As jenks6910 said the protection on the bales in the field is noticeable side by side with fusion and bales holding there shape , would tell me there is more grass in the bales that hold there shape
Ps they were my bales jenks6910 was moving
HiHow's your kuhn doing for you? Have you had any issues or problems? Many bales through it? PM if you prefer
Your not comparing like for like reallyI have a kuhn bio, not a FBP grant it and I have a fusion 3 plus and the kuhn stays in the shed while the fusion does the work. For me the Fusion is in a different league in terms of toughness, reliability, parts availability and resale.
Hi
Very pleased with the kuhn , it’s done 12k bales now , had one problem last year when a short shaft sheared going to gearbox , was up and running next day , looked to be a floor with the shaft and think a few have had same issue and been upgraded same as mine
Copes with the early short grass a lot better then previous McHale balers , and also hardly ever get slip clutch going off, it has hell of an appetite!
Plastic going on the front no problems at all and the 3D wrapper on back does brilliant job , no waste on any of my bales and customers all converted to all plastic on silage / Haylage
that was bailed 22 april

At less then a bale to the acre
I had McHale on max density and couldn’t get bales tight enough on short grass , they would sagThey look great. I can't see my fusion making as neat as those. The short time I had one to try I found some of the density settings a bit confusing.
Profitable job then! did you charge more per bale?that was bailed 22 april

He’s a good customer , but told him I’d have to charge by the hourProfitable job then! did you charge more per bale?
