New Kuhns look great. Last time they outpriced themselves a bit, now that we've a new dealer things could be different.
they new Kuhn’s been selling in UK slowly, ones who have changed are happy but there never going to be a threat to Mchale ! Take a few McHale out but there is a lot of contractors who wouldn’t look at anything else , I purely chose the kuhn for benefits to myself and to have better backup in my area

We had issues with the wrap ring speeding up when a remote was dead ended. Speed went from 30 rpm to 50 ?? and it would shut down. it was sorted when the standby pressure on power beyond was reset

what problems did you have with the pto?

What issues were you having when you say the standby pressure was set wrong. We seem to be having PTO issues
When you press the foot clutch does the pto slip momentarily?

Local contractor with his NH had this issue and after having an expensive strip down of the back end had a chance conversation with the Mchale rep. He‘d come across this on a NH before,it was an accumulator which was faulty.Hyd oil pressure dropping momentarily due to accumulator not working then split second pressure drop on pto clutch plates.

The problem being that anytime from the bale being 80% made the baler clutch can go off. This is in light rows. The accumulator I know about but from what I’m told it’s a short term fix

Not Again I had that problem a few years ago when I bought a Kuhn Bio. Baler only had 11k bales and was 3 years old and first day out on a NH T7.200 the slip clutch (which is extremely loud) would go off as soon as bale was 80%. Turned out that the PTO Shaft (is it an overrun clutch) on the Baler half needed to be tightened and that solved the problem. I remember the fitter talking about pawls or such needing to be adjusted. Hope that helps.

I often wondered why the slip clutch (Located on the side of the pickup reel) went off but the problem in my case was solved by tightening the pawls or whatever on the baler half of the PTO shaft of the baler?
